DID YOU KNOW the Watchtower Society (WT) over Jehovah’s Witnesses (JWs) teaches them that “many now living will never die but live forever in paradise earth”? But at 1 Corinthians 15:22, Paul says we all sin and therefore we will all die. The idea of living on paradise sounds good but living with Christ in the starry heavens where he says there are “many mansions” is far more appealing to most Christians. Imagine resurrection as a spirit being who passes among the stars and planets in heaven. The stars are even more beautiful than going through fields of flowers, snowflakes, fireworks. Planet Earth is pretty but in heaven are even more mansion-like planets. Ecclesiastes 1:4 says “the earth will remain forever,” but Matthew 24:35; Luke 21:33, and Revelation 21:1 say the earth will pass away although a new earth will come. So in the long run planet Earth remains forever because it ends but then is re-created. WT teaches JWs only a “Little Flock” literally numbered 144,000 go to heaven,
but Revelation 19:1 says the “great crowd” are in heaven. Ecclesiastes 9:5 says "the dead
are conscious of nothing at all" and WT says all who die are resurrected on earth or to heaven, but the wicked just sleep
peacefully forever. Yes, dead bodies are conscious of nothing, but since human spirits become as angels in heaven, spirits
survive death of the body. God is just, so there is some kind of punishment. He does
not just let the wicked sleep. It’s not just some teaching from pagan religions but also a Bible-based
teaching. Read 1 Corinthians 15.
WT says its Governing Body men are “the Faithful and Discreet Slave” put over all true Christians but only Christ himself has that role. Paul says there’s “one faith” at Ephesians 4:5, and the one faith then and now is general Christianity which has branches that are good, average and bad. It’s not WT which only began in the 1870s. There are tapes showing WT officials mispreaching that 1975 would bring Armageddon. Until 2009 WT heads mistold JWs the number of those going to heaven was sealed in 1935.
WT says all true Christians must believe the same but Colossians 3:14 says the only one true bond of unity is Love. Christ says his yoke is gentle and light, but being a JW is often a heavy burden, tiring, sometimes very boring. Romans 14 and John 8:32 mention Christian freedom. Galatians 5:22 says love, joy, peace etc are fruits of Holy Spirit.
At Luke 17:2 Christ says to put protection of the Little Ones over any man who abuses them, but WT sends men who have been and possibly still are pedophiles to preach at the doors of people. The Bible at 1 Samuel 14:31-35 shows God forgave Saul’s men who ate unBLED meat to stay alive, but WT misteaches JWs and their children that they must reject transfusions of whole blood. WT allows JWs to take parts of blood but in many poor nations JWs do not have the money for those, so they and their children keep dying.
John 8:32 says the real truth sets people free, and with Christian freedom people are of course much happier. The Bible says you need Christ to have a happy life as a Christian. It doesn’t say WT. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says the scriptures themselves can teach and guide us. It doesn’t say Watchtower magazines. Christ says he’s the Way, Truth and Life at John 6:68 and 14:6, the WT can’t give us Life, only God can. Nor can imperfect humans give us perfect Truth or teach us the best Way for happiness in Christ. Christ says his sheep hear and know the sound of their master’s bell.
